So Thursday morning involved a suitcase

and a wheely big disappointment

but Thursday afternoon we had a visit to the park

Newcastle's Civic Park

It has a lot of war memorials

Including this for the Vietnam War

We took a picture of this as it was around the time of American Girl Julie's - just before her story year

This is the fountain in Civic Park

Unfortunately a few years ago, and with a lot of controversy and public outcry the beautiful trees that lined the street behind this fountain were removed. They've replanted some replacemenst, but the gorgeous canopy, and tunnel the former trees created will never be known again. Unfortunately the removal of these trees has revealed the very ugly Library building .
