There are usually toy sales around the end/start.
I got an email linking me to the Toys'r'us toy sale catalogue, and so I hunted for the Journey Girls to see what might be on offer
$20 off the Bed, bringing it down to $70, and if you've spent over $50 the doll carrier back pack is for free (subject to availability/stock) (Toys in Australia occasionally cost more due to exchange rates and the things getting here in the first place -yay -not)
So I've taken a look at the product description on the TRU website

I'm guessing thats the dimensions of the packaging, and possibly giving some hope by the 57.4cm that the bed itself is in this vicinity and therefore suitable for an American Girl 46cm or even an Australian Girl 50cm to have a good nights sleep (no cramped conditions)
So I went hunting for reviews. You tube has some. I found one that showed a doll in the bed, and then I found this marvelous blog with an actual tape measure in still pictures

wow, thankyou thankyou thankyou. It looks like the bed is about 19 inches long (presuming a head and base board exist) and 9 inches wide (presuming the mattress holder has sides).

I've not seen this blog before, So I think I have some light reading, though it looks like they aren't posting anymore (not yet this year anyway)
