The Patience of Albert

Alex was adopted from the RSPCA on the 14th of February 1998. He was a kitten sitting in the dinner bowl that hung from the side of the cage. He shared his cell with Mr Ged, and both of them came home with us that day.
He was renamed Grumpy Al the cat that lives on the fridge, because he was Grumpy looking (not his fault really - the other cats would pick on him), and thus he lived on the fridge for a couple of years, and well it kind of stuck. When we moved house in 2002, he gave up residing on the fridge and relaxed a bit more as there was more room.
He was renamed Albert the Cat, it just sounded right, and he will be called that for the rest of this post.

In our attempt to be responsible cat owners, both for the safety of the cats, and for the wildlife, we keep our cats indoors. Albert the Cat is the only one that likes to venture outside, to mow the lawn a little, and when the weather is right, to bask in the sun on the rug.
