Journey Girls sleeping bag - who wore it best

Our test subjects today (insert evil maniacal laugh here)
American Girl:  Mercedes
Journey Girl: Ginni
Bfc Ink: Maddie
(in box identities concealed)

I recently purchased the new Journey Girls sleep over set

part of the set includes a sleeping.
I had purchased some while ago an earlier version of the sleep over set which also included a sleeping bag, and I could not help but notice the size difference, so I thought I'd check if the new item could be used by all my dolls.

So who wore it best?

Made for the Journey Girls, and Ginni being the first version of Dana, she fits, but does hope it is not a cold sleepover night as the bag only covered to just below shoulder height, a winter sleep over might require a very wide scarf. The newer Journey Girls dolls are slightly taller.
.

The bag opening runs all the way down the side

and has 3 velcro tabs to close it, again it might be a bit drafty

BFC ink dolls as per the test case picture are a little shorter, and alot slimmer

The fit is alot better, but still the scarf maybe required in winter

American Girls whilst being the same height as the Journey Girls (old version)

are a little larger all over body size, and the velcro tab in the middle couldn't be secured

This is the new and old sleeping bags for Journey Girls, and for starters the older version is both longer and wider
There is a side opeing, but it only goes a portion of the way down the side
but appears to cater more adequately for all 3 doll brands

Mercedes fit well also, the style of the bag opening  or where you place the doll just maybe the cause of this gap, if she had the pillow outside of the bag and skooted up a bit it would cover her arm and shoulders.

I am glad I have both in my collection, but just need to be picky as too who gets to use them,

but both are good for sack races

  1. Do you have any Hearts 4 Hearts Girls? They could fit in the smaller sleep sack with room to spare.

  2. Good idea, the smaller doll would be perfect. I might need to make some for my bigger dolls.

  3. Just buy a sleeping bags and tuck the excess at the foot end underneath, worked for us
