so with a sample in hand we headed off to the shop
oh no |
they did not have the colour we wanted, and there were two stores of the same name in the same shopping centre - whats with that?
so we went to the other shopping centre (mind you these two shopping centres are in the same town and within 500 metres of each other and both centres have the same name Supermarket, meyeah nup no explanation available)
I'll have to unpick the whole thing |
well there was no luck there either, but it was clear that we needed to go back to the twin shops in the other centre and buy some other colours there, because they were like 3 times cheaper, and there were more options
oh yum |
but I did come back with a little energy food to give us strength
well someone strength
The original project
We were trying to copy Tzeitel's cape with hood
but were short
What colours did you come back with?
Oh
Hmmm
cute Pictures of Albert the Cat, while you wait
The end result...
I decided to redo the original, just being a little more frugal with the stitches. I was able to get it two whole rows longer than my furry mauve one. But it will mean no hood.
A little black all the way round, and a line just off the shoulders, makes it look like it has a capelet
and it has holes for your hands just in case
a length of black ribbon
and what I did have left of the burgundy I trimmed a beret
