The Animals become Pets.... part 1

It was becoming obvious that the girls, two in particular, were becoming very attached to the animals that had been visiting our little family since November.

From the begging by Emily that we keep Coconut

and the pro-Coconut t-shirt she was going to wear until I said yes

and the pro-Coconut gift she had hinted at for her birthday,  mm you'll have to wait and see.

To the shadow that followed Trinity everywhere in the shape of Pudding.

Coconut of course had come from the breeder, so he was a known and very possible chance of keeping him, (Em don't let him jump on the table).

Pudding however, being a stray, it was no guarantee that his real owners would not come for him, or whether he would just walk out again, though by his attachment to Miss T, the latter was highly unlikely.  Trinity had gone to no end to find the owner, but also chose to look after the little fellow.  It was time to find out from maybe someone who would know, what could be done next.

I distracted Miss Trinity, by calling her downstairs, to help with some crafting things, for the school room (What! school room, hey now wait a minute), and caught Pudding before he could follow.

Emily let the girls know what was going on.
Catherine is taking me and Coconut to the vet for a check up, we might be able to keep him!!
Yay
We are also going to take the little cat that's been around.
Pudding.
Yeah Pudding, to see if the Vet knows anything about his owner or what we should do next, and whether we can keep him too.
Wowo. Does Trinity know?
No, it's a secret, we need help to keep Trin busy.

She's down stairs now crafting, I think that bits covered, I'll go let the others know, so they don't spill the beans.

Hey girls, guess what?

So Emily and I, with Coconut on a lead, and a little boxed kitten, headed off to the vet...

Vet Donna, gave Coconut a clean bill of health, but would need to keep him in for a couple of hours to get his tags sewn in.
Is he very obedient? Vet Donna asked.
Well, Emily replied. I'm trying to teach him.
Hmm, I might have just the thing, I'll talk to Catherine about it.

And who's this little man?
This is Pudding, well that's the name Trinity has given him, he is a stray.
I'll check if he has a microchip.

To be continued.

(big thanks to Donna at the Noahs Ark Vet Clinic, I had her permission to use her pictures.
The conversation was in my imagination though.)
